ABOUT US PAGE

FROM 2015 TO PRESENT

Our Mission:

CollECtively Proclaiming Jesus through exuberant Praise

Our Vision:

We are a diverse Gospel/hip-hop choir demonstrating oneness in Christ. We invite the community to experience freedom in the life-changing love of Jesus!

CollECtive Choir Values:

SPIRIT: we recognize our true power for living and for serving is from the Holy Spirit of God in Christ Jesus, and so we devote ourselves to prayer and seeking God’s will. We desire to be filled more and more with the Spirit so that we may increase in fruitfulness and impact towards our community’s healing and transformation.

UNITY: we believe through the transforming work of Jesus that God is reweaving relationships across our entire community starting with us. We genuinely celebrate God’s ongoing handiwork in all people, in their stories, and in their gifts, humbly harmonizing with one another in the Spirit for all to see.

LOVE: we believe that Jesus compels our choir family to authentically and patiently love one another, and support one another in truthful conversation, service, and prayer. As an organization, we seek to be a rich blessing to the community.

WORSHIP: we publicly show the community Jesus’ worth through passionate and celebratory praise and thanksgiving, and share what the Lord has done in us. We humbly and boldly invite all people to praise the Lord with us, and into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

ART: We are a performing art organization that seeks to connect with our audience through excellent music. We endeavor to continually improve on what we do and to make a viable artistic contribution to our art community and art economy. We collect experts and novices alike and grow together in our skills as musicians and communicators.

The CollECtive Choir is a diverse collection of people who are using soulful Gospel and hip hop music to proclaim the life changing love of Jesus Christ and pull people from all parts of Eau Claire into deeper community.  The music is original and covered urban gospel music, as well as arrangements of well known praise and inspirational tunes redone in a gospel style.

Together we lift up a new standard in praise to our Creator God, and his anointed one, Jesus, in the public spaces and wherever people would invite us.  We recognize our society's immediate need for genuine community and building relational bridges to people who are different than ourselves.  As we come together we seek to display the One-ness of the Church in Christ Jesus, and offer people in the Chippewa Valley a place to belong without needing to 'put on a face'.  We serve as a stepping stone into spiritual community for people who haven't experienced the Church, or who have been wounded by the Church.

We are a performing and recording ensemble and prepare to bring excellent and exuberant music to Eau Claire and the surrounding region.  The choir is under the direction of Michael Rambo.
